| - Let me start off by saying I live 19 miles from this bike shop. I'm in Central Phoenix. There is Landis, Bike Barn, and a few others that are much closer to me as in 8-10 minute drive. I choose to drive out to this Global Bikes location because these guys are legit, and will always steer you in the right direction. They also treat you like an intelligent human being, unlike some of the other shops I have encountered.
I've purchased 3 bikes from them (one was from another location), and recently I purchased a bike trailer and helmet for my 10 month old which is why I'm writing this review.
I first bought a trailer with my son along side with me. I brought him in and let him sit in the trailer. He seemed to love playing in to right away so I made the purchase. After taking it out on one short ride I realized the trailer wasn't working quite the way I needed with my road bike. I called the shop a coupe of days later and spoke with Mark, who is a great guy by the way. He told me to come down and bring my bike if I could, or take a photo of the issue and send it to him and he would see if his guys could make a modification, as they are pretty creative in achieving the overall goal of an enjoyable, safe ride.
After bringing my road bike and recently purchased trailer back, Mark took the time to get on the computer and showed me other options, and even after I told him I didn't mind spending more money, he still showed me options for a new trailer, different brand but same price along with the more expensive models.
I never felt rushed, I never felt like I was being an inconvenience, and he made me feel extremely comfortable, as I'm not one to return things that I purchase unless they are damaged, which my trailer was not.
I finally decided on a Burley Bee trailer that they had to order. He told me it would be in about a week after the next day and he called me right on time the next week to let me know they had the trailer in.
I couldn't be more pleased with Global Bikes. Their service, knowledge and shopping experience is 2nd to none. I tell everyone I know to visit Global Bikes before they go anywhere else. I've even had a few friends buy from them and they live in Central Phoenix and North Scottsdale and having only positive worlds to say.
If you live close to one of their locations check them out. If you live far away, do yourself a favor and check them out. It's worth the drive. I know I will always stay loyal to Global Bikes.
