  • Fan-freaking-tastic!! I notice the only negative review for Bill Thomas is from a realtor. Simple explanation: Bill Thomas is a homeowner's best dream and a realtor's worst nightmare! He goes over every inch of your property and tells you the good, the bad, and the ugly. Unlike your realtor (and the home inspector your realtor recommends), Mr. Thomas does not have any vested interest in selling you a house. He simply wants you to know what you are in for so you can make the best decision about purchasing a home. At the recommendation of other yelpers, I called FYI Inspections and was able to speak with Bill right away. After learning he was from Kentucky (as am I), I scheduled an appointment right away and was ever so glad that I did. If you have any familiarity with home inspectors, you know they typically show up, spend an hour or two and then leave. You wait a week and get a half-cooked report. Not the case when you hire Mr. Thomas. As others have mentioned, he is incredibly thorough, spends hours, looks over everything, even gives you information regarding how to fix existing issues. He really goes above and beyond. Because he brings his equipment to the home, he has an incredibly quick turn around. Can't say enough great things about his services and the report I received hours after he finished his inspection. One final thing, in addition to being a great home inspector who has several degrees and is very knowledgeable, he is also just an awesome dude with very interesting stories. Really enjoyed being onhand with him during the inspection and shooting the breeze. Don't be crazy. Hire Bill Thomas for your home inspection so you get the real deal.
