| - 1. Your sister should not be your receptionist.
2. When your sister is your receptionist, she tells you how little she is paid, that she feels like she is the lawyer half the time, and you get HER opinion a lot of the time.
3. When he does decide to call you back, or return your e-mails, or the like, it's often a response to the wrong message, or he relays the information wrong from the opposing party.
4. When you try to correct this,or inform the lawyer that their client is in contempt b/c they are not following court order, the receptionist/sister becomes incredibly unprofessional and tells you that you are a bad person. Seriously. Kept the e-mail because it was so unprofessional.
Now, we were represented by opposing council for this--he was the ex's lawyer. Because he refused to push her to come to settlement, the COURTS had to force his hand, and the ex got much less than she wanted, which is good for me, yes, but this divorce could have been done a year ago with better results for the ex had they not dragged their feet and let their client go in contempt for three months.
So, if you want to win by default, or by opposing council having a horrid lawyer, he's the way to go.
