  • Nice store. Great customer service - didn't bug me while I was looking at what I wanted to look at, and got a chance to narrow down between two shoes I had not made a decision on before I asked to try on a couple sizes. I wear anywhere from 8.5 to 9 to 9.5 in shoes and boots, so with Red Wing they say you should downsize by half or a full size - and for me that was 8.5 (mens). I'm sure the guy was thinking, now he leaves and buys online after finding out his size - right up to the point where I said I'll take them. Iron Ranger Heritage - made in the U.S.A., how can I go wrong? They are breaking in very nicely and I have not gotten a blister yet (knock on wood), and don't expect one because I can now wear them without any hot spots. First there was the top right of my left foot, and my right heel, but they never blistered and those hot spots are long gone - up to 1 hour and 3.0 mph on the treadmill wtih regular socks with no issues at all. To lend some context - I had to start using thick wool socks and the first few days were dicey and I actually felt a little buyers remorse - but after a couple days the hard spots - I call them hot spots - went away and you can see where the leather is getting broken in in various spots on the shoe. Very happy with my purchase!
