  • My husband and I went on a 2 1/2 hour presentation. Prior to going we were promised a $100 gift card. After my husband signed up for it and the women took his license and we thought wrote down all the info she needed. After we got to the room we were called 3 times after that asking for a address and I gave it to her twice (Emily, Pat, and the Manager) The day of the presentation which was the next day I got a last call that morning 6/3/16. She claimed that I could go over at 10am. I did a 2 1/2 hr presentation and they told me to go to the front office to get my gift. I did and when I got their the women refused to tell me why I wasn't getting a gift and called the manager on staff and she told me since they had the wrong info in the system she could give me my gift. My husband blew up because we wasted time and no one bothered to tell us not to go or give us the option. He was yelling and asked as a manager wasn't their something she could do? She said she could give us a stay in the future, and a $50 gift card. My husband told her that wasn't good enough. We wanted what we were promised. She said she wouldn't do that and she didn't like the way he was talking. My husband told her I will talk how I want too. She then called security, he came up and we spoke and everything was calmed down. The manager of the resort was there when this occurred. Once we came back into the office we paid for 4 more days. When I came back in the manager apologized and so did I for my husband behavior. The manager took our payment (Julie) and said everything was fine and we left. An hour later Brad Freel, Julie, and the security guard showed up at our door. Brad was extremely disrespectful and didn't care what happened he stated he wanted us gone because of how we spoke to his employee. He said he will refund us our money which will take 3-5 business days to get it back. I told him I had a 2 seater and needed help. He said I want you gone in an hour or he will have us kicked off the property for trespassing. I told him I need to know my rights before I just go. I asked for the GM several times and was denied. He treated us as though we had no rights and his negativity took over. Opposed to him coming to our door apologizing he came with a very authoritative position. Once the police arrived they told me this is a civil issue. This issue could have been handled completely different but because you have people in place that are very emotional and the manger didn't take accountability for the problems her team created. If they didn't like they way my husband acted why did Julie take my money after that? They stole my money for at least a week because I can't use it. Brad and the concierge manager showed no grace, empathy or professionalism. I want to file this complaint so they get the business practices together and stop lying to people. Someone needs to lose their job putting my family out on the street!
