Like previous posts, my review is not about the standard of care I received, but about the billing service. I was never told the anesthesia services for my procedure were out of network. When I left the hospital (out patient procedure) I believed I had paid my entire bill. A month later I received a bill for twice what I paid for the procedure itself. I attempted calling the billing service, and asked to speak with someone who could explain why I was charged $1900 for 33 minutes of sedation. They refused to let me speak with anyone and stated the cost was typical and accurate. I continued battling- called them as well as my insurance provider numerous times. Despite the several attempts at obtaining an explanation, they provided no answers and sent me to collections.
The sad part is, reviewing and raising awareness will not result in any changes. We are stuck with their service (or lack thereof) because we are never given a choice.
