| - LOUD on weekends doesn't even BEGIN to describe. Being from NYC I understand LOUD.. On the top floor (5th) I though "it cant be that bad"...
Ther speakers from the afterhours club are also OUTSIDE. You really cannot escape the volume. It sounds like you are inside a nightclub trying to sleep. Even the ear plugs I broke down to get at the front desk didn't help much at all.
It's too bad, as this hotel is really artsy and cool. I LOVE the french gothic type decor and the ambiance in the lobby, the rooms are also artist themed and cute. There were minor issues with the room, (drain broken, lamps with missing /non working bulbs) maid service is very minimal.
If you are on a serious budget, it's not the worst, but rethink sleeping on fri, sat and some sundays. I had a serious discount here, so price-wise it was incredibly inexpensive for the week. I was a zombie Sat and Sunday from minimal sleep though ( due to noise level)
Transportation without a car can be trying. Not a bad location, as you are halfway between downtown and the strip for cab rides. Cabs are very expensive in Vegas though, more than NYC!
No food at the hotel, although thy provide delivery menus.
I walked to Palace Station for a great breakfast everyday.
