I came here using a Living Social deal; $20 for a shellac manicure. As previous reviewers mentioned, I rarely got through when I tried calling for an appt. The first time I got through, they were booked several weeks out but this was shortly after the deal ran.
When I was finally able to get through and make an appt, the person who answered was very friendly. The same friendliness continued when I got there. The salon had a good color selection for the shellac manicure. It is a small salon with 3-4 manicure chairs, room for two pedicures and a waxing room. A rom-com movie was playing for me to watch while I sipped on complimentary bubbly. I have to say that I liked the casual atmosphere of the place and it seemed that the employees were very comfortable with each other. Sometimes this can be too much and at the risk of excluding the client but I didn't feel that way. The owner seemed very open to trying new products and also listening to the suggestions and feedback of her clients. This was the impression I got from hearing discuss the new products she was trying.
Now onto to my manicure. My nail technician did a good job and was intent on making sure my nails looked good. When she noticed a bulge on one of my nails, she redid it. I appreciated that. The reason I am giving this place 3 stars is that I noticed a little over a week later and I have noticed some chips at the edges of my nails. On my right ring finger, there is a big chip off the side. I might try to clip my nail to see if it becomes less noticeable but that might make it worse. Other than that, the color and shine still look great.
The owner offered me a returning deal of the same one I got off LS. I would definitely be willing to go back and try it again.
