  • If you love hidden charges, being hit with unexpected bills, and waiting long amounts of time, this is the place to go. I normally see Julie Bergdale, but unfortunately I had the misfortune of getting stuck with Audrey for my IUD placement. Julie is great, comforting, and helpful. Ive been seeing her for years and she would always explain everything to me so nothing was a surprise. When I talked to her about getting an IUD she went through all my options and explained the procedure. She told me to wait until my period started, I would then call right away and get the IUD placed. So when my period started and I called to get the IUD, Julie's schedule was booked and I had to take whomever was available or else have to wait longer (and not be on my period) to get the IUD. So I agreed to let someone else do the procedure. The procedure was very painful, but I already expected that from what Julie told me and my own research and talking to friends. After it was placed, Audrey told me to come back in several weeks and they would check to make sure everything is OK. I came back for that appointment, and Audrey took a look and said "hmmm, I can kind of see the strings but I'm not quite sure. Did you feel the IUD fall out?" I said no, I'm sure I would've felt something like that fall out. She said "I want to do an ultrasound for my peace of mind." It already took them a while to bring me back and for her to get into the room, so I asked how long it would take because I didn't feel it was necessary and I was getting close to being late for work. She said it would only take a few minutes. I wasn't asked if I wanted the ultrasound or that she would recommend one, she just said she wants to do one for her own peace of mind. So I go into the ultrasound room, and shortly afterwards a man walked in. I thought she was going to do it or another woman. She never asked if I was ok with seeing a male, which I wasn't. He was very nice, but I was uncomfortable with this "surprise." After a few minutes he said it's still in there and I left feeling very uncomfortable and shocked that I wasn't even consulted if seeing a male was OK. I mean I've always seen women for a reason and they don't know if I've had prior experiences that make me feel anxious/uncomfortable with males being "down there." Then, to put the icing on the cake they send me a bill where I have to pay $100 out of pocket for the ultrasound so Audrey could have "piece of mind" that IUD was still there. $100 for 5 minutes, that doesn't even include the money they already got from insurance. Avoid this place if you value transparency and if you want to be someplace where they care for your wellbeing and comfort more than their pockets.
