We went to the Stirling Room last night to celebrate a bunch of birthdays. We arrived around 11:30 and waited for about half an hour outside before getting in. At first I wasn't impressed with the way they were running the line (since there was no line at all and the door guy seemed to be picking and choosing who to let in) but we did get in pretty quickly, considering when we arrived.
Inside it was packed and hot. It's a pretty small place (about 200 capacity, I think), and just 2 rooms. It was a bit hard to get service at the bar, but Jack Daniels was the same price as other whiskies (all drinks $7.50) so I can't complain. The music was pretty awesome: new and 80s, 90s stuff being mixed by a dj. The bathrooms were really busy and completely out of everything, but what can you expect after midnight.
People were generally pretty dressed up (girls in dresses, guys in collared shirts, some in jackets), but there were also guys in t-shirts and jeans. Overall a good time was had by all. I'm sure we'll be back!
