  • Heard a lot of good things about this place so was pretty excited to try. I've been here twice so far. The first visit was around lunch time and left little to be desired - not so much the drink itself but the customer service. The cashier kept giggling while I was looking over the menu (it was awkward because I wasn't making conversation with her but maybe it was her first day and she was nervous?). I then asked her what the cheese mousse topping was made out of and she simply replied "cheese" , didn't elaborate, and giggled. Like, okay? It's just straight up cheese? I made the decision to get the imperial matcha, half sweet, with the strawberry cheese mousse(I assumed it was made from strawberry and cheese). As soon as the order was placed, another girl that was sitting at a table nearby got up, looked at me without smiling, and made my drink. That is such a pet peeve of mine. If I'm giving you my business, the least you can do is smile. I don't think that's too much to ask for. I didn't have any plans to go back soon after that first experience with the workers but alas, my friends texted me the next day and wanted to go. So we met after work and it was a different person working. I have to say, her customer service was way better! She took her time to explain the menu, told me about their rewards program, and smiled. This time I got the imperial matcha latte, soy milk, half sweet with panda boba. My friend got the slice of matcha cheesecake. Some reviews state that the price is high for a drink. I do agree but I also understand matcha is expensive especially the higher the quality. I use matcha at home too and usually purchase the culinary grade or the ceremonial grade so I get it. However, when there's matcha in a recipe, I like it when it tastes pretty much like dirt/grass. I want to be able to taste the "greeness". I felt that both of the drinks and the matcha cheesecake is lacking in that green tea flavor. It was too mild for me. The drinks tasted watered down and I wasn't a huge fan of the panda boba. It was too soft for me. While the cheesecake was cute and the texture was smooth, again it lacked that matcha taste. If I was around the area I'd consider stopping by and trying a different drink but I wouldn't make my way all the way from the other side of town.
