QUICK FACTS:
--------------
- Change room smells like chlorine because there's a pool...
- Parking is free! With a deposit. If you haven't signed up for their parking permit ($20 deposit), you can get validation tickets from the front desk.
- This is not a new gym. Don't expect something state-of-the-art or beautiful.
PROS:
--------------
- It has a pool! Not many GoodLife locations do.
I went at opening time on Saturday (11:30 AM) and there was no one. Closing time on Sunday (6:45-7:30 PM) was busier but not bad; about 2-3 people per lane.
(Btw, people there seem to swim in half lanes as opposed using the whole lane and swimming clockwise up one side, down the other. An old man yelled at me for swimming clockwise even though I was in the lane alone first, so I'm not sure why he decided it had to be his way. Swimming in half lanes makes it really difficult when there's more than two people in a lane...it honestly doesn't make sense but this is just me ranting.)
- Do they offer free razors? There's a bowl of them at the entrance.
- Staff are honestly the best I've encountered at any GoodLife. It was actually shocking. They're really good with offering towels every time and I was surprised by their "sir"s and "ma'am"s and overall friendliness.
CONS:
--------------
- Would I honestly come here to use the weights and machines? Probably not my first choice. The whole layout feels a little crowded and the running track surrounding it all is weird to me. But it's not terrible. It's clearly not a new location, but it doesn't feel THAT old. It just doesn't look new.
- Change room is a little old and ugly, but you're not at the gym to stay in the change room.
- Maybe 2 out of 10 shower stalls have curtains. I don't know where they go, but within the span of one week, which stalls had and didn't have curtains changed.
