Actual question, why are the floating pods more popular among floating locations? The tanks are so much better, and Float Toronto has the right idea.
I'm not a stranger to floating, but it's the first time in quite a while since I had the chance to do one. They have the floating tanks with high ceilings, which I might have to say is my favourite tank I've been in. The smaller, older tanks sometimes lead to dripping due to the ceiling being much lower, while the pods do not capture the same amount of deprivation due to the way it closes. There's also so much more room in this tank as opposed to the pod. Save to say, I highly approve of their choice of equipment.
Another thing I have to comment on is the kind of earplugs they provide. They give you both the regular foam earplugs, and the mouldable kind as well. I cannot express how grateful I have a real problem with getting foam earplugs to stay in my ear and had always had to wring them out halfway through my float. These moldable ones are just a godsend, and I appreciate they don't try to upsell "fancier" earplugs for a better floating experience.
If you're looking for a first floating experience, Float Toronto definitely is the place for you. They also keep their floating patrons in mind with talking in hushed tones.
