  • Allow me to join the bandwagon with my cry from the wilderness saying, "Cox Cable, Cox Communications, Cox Enterprises, et. all, is a huge national, family-owned, media conglomerate that doesn't give a rip about their customers, much less loyal customers." They will manage to jack up your monthly bill to over $100 + irregardless of WHAT package or combo you've selected. Their goal is to make over $100 monthly (Preferably over $200) from each and every one of their customers. Period. You are their cash cow. Add to that the continual outages, interruptions, internet outages (always during an important business transaction! How do they manage that??) And you've got one lousy 21st century company. Late one night, Cox cable just turned off my TV for me! Serious! When I called them, they said, "When there is a long period of inactivity on a cable line, we shut it off" Hmmm, WHAT? I can't watch a long movie in my own home now? Hello George Orwell. I can definitely say that I'm glad to see the many movie and phone providers give them some competition. They need some stiffer competition from an internet provider. I urge any newbies to the Valley of the Sun to avoid Cox Cable as your internet provider if at all possible. You can easily get better TV & movie deals elsewhere, And phone providers, well, they are a dime a dozen. P.S. Their "Repair" or "Service" people are NOT Cox's employee's at all, they are subcontracted yahoo's that likely came from Labor Force or Manpower. That TELLS MOUNTAINS ABOUT A COMPANY that won't invest the time & money into competent linemen and service techs to help solve the plethora of problems involved in cable & phone service. I once needed an internet line moved to a far room in my house. The Cable-Guy says, I'm serious now, he says, "Oh, sorry I can't do that! Cox won't allow us to go up in the attic and move cables..." and he took off like the wind. The lying S.O.B. It was summertime in AZ, and he made up that pack O' lies because he was a lazy, Gen X'r, Peter-Pan, mama's boy.
