rev:text	I was a bit disappointed with the price. Once you pay the admission fees of $8.85 per adult and $5.75 per child plus taxes, it seems like most of what you want to do costs money. The pony rides are $5 and the poor ponies look miserable. The wagon ride was fun and less costly at $2 per person, the guide was personable and is actually the horse owner, he told us all about the horses work life (only 30 days pulling the wagon at the conservation area each year) and they seemed healthy and well cared for. The biggest gouge was the $10 fee for children to play in the playground climbing area, plus another $5 for the adult that is required to accompany them. The guides along the maple sugar bush area were great and well informed. It was nice to see 3 different ways of preparing maple sugar or syrup (Aboriginal, Pioneer and modern). The syrups offered in the store were the same as you would get any where I imagine as unfortunately they don't make any on site. There were some vendors outside with delicious honey (really, there are different flavours and you can taste test them) and someone with baked goods that included gluten-free options (yeah!). You can also buy pancakes inside the restaurant, though we didn't try those (due to a variety of family allergies). Overall it was an okay day (the weather was miserable which didn't help) but what really put a damper on our enjoyment was all the unexpected costs. So if you go, bring lots of extra cash, or be prepared to do very little.
