  • If I could give them 0 stars I would. Let's start off with the fact that they'd check my maternity benefits and that it was unnecessary for me to call my insurance company. They gave me a breakdown of costs after insurance for each visit. It wasn't until about a month after my first visit that I received a $250 bill. So, of course I called my insurance company with questions to find out that what I thought was covered - was not. Which means they never contacted my insurance company for a breakdown of benefits and gave me false information. My first prenatal visit consisted of me talking to a medical assistant and never the doctor. i never met Dr. Brass, although she was my designated OBGYN. I'm guessing it was a PA who did my exam, which I thought was out of the ordinary given the fact that the doctor would be delivering my baby. -- But that was the least of my worries. So, thinking that my first appointment was going to consist of an ultrasound like I was told on the phone -- it didn't. I had to schedule a separate day to come in. The receptionist told me that with my insurance it would cost $99. In the end, because lack of knowledge on their part, the ultrasound ended up costing me $206. They prescribed me a nausea/ food aversion medicine that wasn't covered by my insurance so myself and the pharmacy called to get a different prescription sent in. Never called either of us back. Two days later, I called to explain the situation and to request a different prescription & the receptionist said she'd leave a note for the medical assistants to call me back. 6 hours later, no call back so i called them again with the same response -- this time, they transferred me to the medical assistants line where i was able to leave a message. No call back that day. The next day, I called again -- the front desk told me that they had called in a prescription for me, so i called the pharmacy to ask the status -- there was no prescription for me there. I called back again, they said they'd call it in right away. I waited all day calling Walgreens every couple of hours to check the status -- no prescription was waiting to be filled. I called the office, frustrated at this point, the receptionist transferred me to the medical assistant who said she called it in 30 minutes ago (but i just got off the phone with the pharmacy 2 minutes prior to talking to her and they hadn't received any calls from them), put me on hold and called the pharmacy to call it in "again." Long story short, I asked her why the office had been lying to me for the past 2 days and she responded with "we're short staffed." SO, I had my next appointment coming up to do blood work. I called the week prior because I needed to reschedule the time of my appointment. Upon calling, I told the receptionist that I had an appointment to get blood work done & she told me that there was nothing on the schedule about blood work and that it was just a routine follow up even though my appointment sheet they gave me said "blood work". Frustrated at this point, I told her to cancel my appointment, send my request for blood work to the lab and I'd go there to get it done. A week later, I still hadn't heard from the lab saying that they had received a request for blood work... After doing research, I found a new OBGYN and needed them to send over my patient information. So, I went in to True Harmony with my consent for transfer because I did not trust them at this point if I were to email it to them. I handed the receptionist the papers and asked her why I hadn't heard anything about blood work from the lab to which she said there was absolutely nothing in my chart about blood work. The receptionist grabbed a nurse who came out and said "well I can do your blood work right now." I explained to her that I did not want to give them any more of my business which is why I was there today. She rolled her eyes at me and said "okay" very sarcastically and handed me my request for lab work. Overall, THIS OFFICE IS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. DO NOT GO HERE. They will screw you out of your money and your time. The medical assistants are rude, the front desk staff has absolutely NO idea what they are doing. This is my first pregnancy, I want to feel comfortable being able to call my OBGYN with questions or concerns -- not be turned away and lied to because they are "short staffed." Very, very, very disappointed with my experience here.
