I will have to update this review after visiting some of the other LA locations, there are aspects that are different.
The weights are super messy here, no one puts anything back or really cleans up after themselves. The workers will occasionally passive aggressively rush around putting weights away around you and yell at everyone to "put their weights back!" But it doesn't seem to work.. The music is annoyingly loud, feels like you're at a club with the same music playing over and over again. You will have to speak up a bit if you want to say something to someone. I get it though-it's a gym you're there to workout but music is a big part of it and it would be nice if it wasn't crazy loud. Their A/C or fans don't seem to work as well as they used to (I used to remember when it was very well ventilated).
Lately, they've been putting up loads of signs that say "No gym bags on gym floor" or "No chalk on gym floor" so that's new. Starting to get a Planet Fitness vibe here...be careful don't do anything that might benefit your lift or they'll put up a sign. If anything more soap and cleaning stations would be more beneficial. Or signs that say wipe down your machines after you're done over the signs they put up now.
The staff don't seem to care about appropriate workout clothing, because I've seen people work out in flip flops and sandals...so what happens when a weight falls on them?
Just come here for a good lift and go, still a good facility (not always the cleanest) but for what you pay it's good.
