This is by far my favorite museum in Pittsburgh! I love how intimate and engaging the exhibits are and that they rotate regularly with new artists' work from all over. Some say it can be pricey, but I think it's worth it if you enjoy unique art and interactive exhibits.
They have a few permanent exhibits that I return to all the time. They are always fun to re-experience and I never tire of them. The rotating ones are always great to see and appreciate the creativity that goes into them. One I will never forget involved telephone poles with tin can phones hanging from the lines. Each tin can had a speaker inside of it and you could hear conversations being played. So unique!
The parking here is very challenging, as the Mexican War Streets area of the North Side can be tight. There is a small lot, but usually we find street parking or take a bus to visit. Definitely check this place out if you have not yet!
