  • To summarize: if you are a fashionista, with a decent budget, don't go outside, all your physical activity during pregnancy is yoga and work an office job, this place is for you. Very stylish garments! Can be pregnant and still look amazing. The owner is very attentive and knowledgable and I got a discount for two things even though the sale on the web-site finished couple of days ago (I didn't realize that when I came to store). If, on the other hand, the above is not about you, I'd go elsewhere (not that I could myself recommend a perfect place :-( ) I got a nice warm sweater for pregnancy at Luna that can also be used for breastfeeding (http://www.lunamaternity.com/collections/nursing-tops/products/seraphine-maternity-nursing-sweater-akira). This did make the trip to the store worthwhile. It has a high wool content, which was nice. Other than that, I didn't find anything special or that I was looking for. Most clothes are too posh for me, use synthetic fabrics and are fairly expensive. When you have other kids there is just no place or time for fancy clothes. You need no nonsense warm and comfy clothes for winter. I was hoping to pick up some nice cotton tops too, and I did find one in clearance section, but not perfect (the opening is very very tight, the head barely fits). No warm maternity vests. No warm pants. Forget wool, fine, give me some fleece or pants with lining, there wasn't any. Winter jackets don't strike me as warm. Seraphine tights didn't have a sizing chart (weight vs. height), and the sales associate didn't have one handy, we had to look on the internet with her. Bras - again, synthetic and expensive. I picked up two bras for $10 each at Thyme. Granted, I was lucky it was from summer collection and I wear size DDD, that's why there was something left at that price :-) Very limited selection of night dresses that are cotton and go beyond your bum. I found one, but it had so much embroidery that it was very unpleasant to wear, so I passed on that one. I ended up buying 3 100% cotton night dresses on sale from Hatley. Buttons and all for $12.50 each. No regrets taking this one to hospital, while I would be kind of hesitant packing a $70 one with me. :-) Maybe I'm weird and all other pregnant women seize to go outside in the winter once pregnant and instead work all office jobs and after that go to cocktail parties instead of taking care of other kids and houses. I'm a teacher, I have another kid, a house to clean, meals to cook and garden to look after. And I am in too much pregnancy related pains to even have energy for anything but bare minimum. Although I totally appreciate and admire all those fancy dresses and tops, I just have no space for them in my life. I have to say Thyme Maternity didn't do that much better. But they did have some cotton tops, cotton night dresses and much better selection of *comfortable* but supportive cotton bras. And down filled winter jackets. So my suggestion is to stock more natural fiber clothes that are good for something more than just going out and doing office job. Something along these lines: http://littlewoolmaus.com/2011/12/winter-layering-for-pregnant-mamas-great-gear-from-mountain-mama/
