| - I was recently here for my friend's 30th birthday. He's a big comic book/video game fan, so this seemed like the perfect spot. As we were staying right around the corner at the El Cortez, this was a really convenient place also, located right on Fremont.
At first glance, the club definitely has that old skool feel. Big sign out front with video-game style lettering. For my friend's birthday, we got bottle service and were seated at one of the booths along the wall. WIth your bottle, we had full service from staff, and got a flatscreen setup with a console of our choice. We grabbed a second bottle, as we had a large group, and got a second console as well.
The games were entertaining and there were plenty of flashback arcade games on the other side of the club.
Staff was really friendly and helpful, and when one of our controllers stopped working they were quick to fix it. Everyone in the group had a great time - the DJ was also celebrating a birthday and in high spirits. The only thing that bummed me out was the pseudo dance-off that kept trying to happen. I get it dude...you can dance and that's awesome. But everyone else wants to dance too, not just stand around for 20 minutes staring at you. Also, the dance floor didn't really pick up until later in the evening, as most people were hanging out playing games until then.
Definitely a cool spot, way more relaxed than a club on the strip.
