  • This place is one of several restaurants owned and operated by the Fuentes family in the East Central Illinois area. Good food, excellent service, fast authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. Its slightly tailored to American tastes and expectations, lots more cheese and sauce than one would find south of the border, but the waitstaff are almost all native Mexican, the chips and salsa are free and the food is served hot and fast, but you are definitely not in Taco Bell. For a town like Monticello, this is a welcome addition to the Courthouse Square.
