| - I am a big supporter of small business, so when I need something I always look at Groupon or Living Social to see if a local business has any offers. This was the case in January. I was looking for a birthday gift for my hunny. He had been very busy and had little or no time to detail his corvette. I saw the Living Social deal for a Platinum Detailing package for $40 from Pro Detail and thought PERFECT!. I could not have been more wrong. As much as I would like to give a postive review, I am afraid that just won't be possible. I cannot judge the quality of their service because, despite numerous phone calls and appointments, I have yet to ever see anyone from this company. Our first appointment was finally first set up in March. We re-arranged our schedule to accommodate their schedule. On the day of the appointment, we woke up to a phone call cancelling the appt and asking us to call back. We returned their call, but no one there could reschedule and they would have someone call us back. No one called us back. It took over a week and several phone calls from me before we got a second appt. The second appt was scheduled for late April (their only opening) I made sure they knew that I needed the car completed before the 27th for a business meeting and was assured it wouldn't be a problem. Again we arranged our schedule to accommodate theirs. The day of the second appointment, we awoke to another message stating that they were cancelling. I tried to return their phone call, but could reach no one. By this point, my hunny was fairly upset and said if they were unreliable in simply showing up for an appointment, he had little faith in their competency for correctly detailing his car. It's a $70k car, so I can understand his apprehension. He wanted me to get a refund for the deal and be done with it. I decided to give them one more chance. This did not go over well at home, but I held firm gave him the "There could be a logical explanation" reason to try one more time. This time it took numerous phone calls. At one point I called every day for a week trying to reach someone. Eventually, several weeks later, someone called me back. My confidence had slipped those last few inches by this time, but decided that, even if he wouldn't let them touch the outside, they could still detail the engine and shampoo the carpets and treat the leather inside the car and it would still be a good deal at $40. I was assured beyond a shadow of a doubt that they would NOT cancel and finally got an appt set up for June 30th at noon. I did not envy the task of whomever was going to be detailing in this sweltering weather, but I had tried to intitailly set this up during cooler times. So, while I would have much rather gone to Flagstaff for the weekend as planned, for a third time we arranged our schedule to fit theirs. I was up at 6:30am just in case they came early. This was an unnecessary thing on my part, as they did not show up at all. Neither did they call. I gave up and called Living Social to get a refund. I let them know what had happened and told them that in my opinion this company was unreliable and reflected badly on Living Social. I can see from other reviews on here that the majority of people feel the same way. Those of you that were able to actually use your cert, feel lucky. I would suggest you get a lottery ticket!
