A sad state of affairs. I take my pet in to get a diagnosis and after meeting with the veterinarian I'm told that my dog has an issue that will cost about $2650 in orthopedic surgery (that was the estimate in writing that I was given). I told her I was going to wait for one month to see if my dog's leg would heal naturally, she agreed with that, gave us pills, it was about a $200 bill. I call again today to set up a schedule to do the surgery and all of a sudden I'm told that I have to bring the dog in again for x-rays, bloodwork blah blah blah that's an additional $630 so to me that is so unprofessional it sounds to me like somebody is gouging and I will not be back. I would get a second opinion from anything that they tell you at this place. (Why would anybody that's a professional give you an official document that's printed that shows the cost of over $2650 and then start talking about re-diagnosing, either you know what you're doing and saying or you don't). I don't like surprises. I feel the vet is sincere and loves animals but she told me she doesn't like to do orthopedic surgery and they farm it out to a doctor that comes in. So please stop diagnosing something that you're weak in. It will be much simpler.
