The standards for an airport restaurant are pretty low. Just some food in a clean place. But don't expect to be greeted nicely...at all. And don't expect an item listed as a "Tossed Cobb Salad" to not be tossed, served in a pile with cold fatty bacon, and dressing on the side.
But the worst part was the amazingly grouchy hostess. Have you seen the Seinfeld episode with the soup Nazi? Picture that. Super rude...lately me rephrase that SUPER RUDE!!! I mentioned it to the waitress who told me that I need to give her a break because it was only her third or fourth day on the job. I thought, are you kidding me? This is how she behaves and she JUST started there? What will her behavior be like after she gets tired of being there.
To be clear, I was in a really good mood when I got there. I had the perfect amount of time for a layover, had a great flight and a great business trip, I wasn't too concerned about the price as my meals were being covered by my clients. I smiled and tried to be friendly and she was just a grouch. I have no idea what her problem was but projecting it on me was unprofessional and just unkind.
A hostess is "paid" to be friendly. That IS their job. To kindly greet guests, warm them up for the waiter, and then find an appropriate seat.
Honestly, the server wasn't much better. She had a "mildly pissy" attitude. Not as bad as the other.
I gave this 2 stars and I'm not sure why I even gave that many. I guess 1 1/2 would be appropriate but I'm feeling generous.
I'm pretty sure that the restaurant won't contact me but I wish they would.
If you're stuck in the airport, try somewhere else.
