If you go to the Christmas market from Friday - Sunday, you'll pay $6 to enter. The market is a sea of strollers, dogs (why?! Leave them at home especially the unfriendly ones!) and people curating Instagram stories while standing in the middle of the walkway.
If you're feeling impatient or peckish toward crowds this is not your ideal spot to visit.
A few tips: stay away from the bonfires in the side alley unless you want your hair and clothes to smell like campfire until you wash them again.
Do NOT get hot dogs or sausages from the Brandt stand . Ours were terrible and this is coming from someone who considers street meat a delicious treat. The wieners were crispy, bland and tasted like they sat on the grill all day. Even dousing mine with mayo couldn't save it. The mustard flavour was like the mustard gas used to poison WWI soldiers with its potency and not in the hot spicy way. It was just toxic.
All in all it's fun to walk around with 2 or 3 people, snap some pics and drink a $10 cider. You may leave wanting to punch someone but it's still worth checking out.
