I first moved in May 2016 with the old management and everything went smoothly. Fast forward a year and a half and new management takes over and it's been one problem after another ever since then. My rent immediately shoots up $200 from $930 to $1140 without the option to renew a 12-month lease--only 9 months, which is why the rent is a little higher. I'm told because they are remodeling--fine, whatever. My lease renewed in April and instead of going up to 1140 it goes up to 1350!!! $400 jump in rent is ridiculous. The gate hasn't been fixed since they took over so it's been 6 months. Just tonight I found a homeless man asleep in one of the parking stalls by a resident's window. My friend in the complex told me she found a guy "dressed like security" digging in the garbage late one night last month. I picked this location because it looked safe, clean, and convenient and after 2 years it's no longer any of those things. Maybe as a new resident you'll have a better experience than me, maybe. I just wanted to give you a fair warning.
EDIT: I met with Jennifer in the leasing office and she was very helpful. Even though I renewed my lease nothing was registered electronically because of "computer glitches" and was charged month-to-month instead of the 9-month renewal rate. She also addressed the issue with the front gate and assured me that it would be fixed very soon but could not give me an exact date.
