I have to say Fitzgerald's has NOT been keeping up with the rest of the Casinos downtown.
The Casino is the Casino is the Casino. The Sportsbook is the Sportbook is the Sportsbook. It is nice to have this option of going to another Casino while in downtown and wanting to find the right odds to guarantee that the odds of the game are true.
I could not tell you if Fitzgerald's offers show (Golden Nugget Gordie Brown) or if the Fitzgerald's has a restaurant that I would ever eat in.
The Casino does not look as if it has been upgraded recently; even the Casinos downtown people tend to think are slummy have given their Casino a fresh coat of paint.
My theory is this when it comes to Casinos or any type of business in and out of Vegas. If you don't care about the broken glass on the ground that will attract a different type of clientele which will have a snowball affect and before you know it things will be out of hand.
Fitzgerald's still has the glitz and glamour from the outside with the fluorescent lights but it does not go too much further than that. Until the Fitzgerald puts the money they are taking in back into the Casino to ensure when I go there I feel safe at all times then I will spend my money somewhere else. It is that simple.
