Despite all of these (old) bad reviews, I stopped by here today to use my receipt from MadCity Music for 10% off my purchase (this is a sweet deal that the two shops have with one another.) I strictly went in for vinyl so that's what my review will focus on. They do have movies and CDs for sale as well.
This is your classic been-around-forever used record shop with plenty of $1 bins and many many old records like Beatles, Elvis, etc. that may not be of interest to most millennials on the vinyl revival bandwagon looking for the hottest indie release but here's my deal: I like my record shops varied and with their own unique flair. Some are grungy and chocked full of used wax and haven't been vacuumed since Reagan was President and some look like tiny IKEA stores strictly with only sealed records for sale and that is a-ok with me!
The quality of the vinyl here is really varied, some in great shape some in terrible shape. I do think the prices are a bit high on some but I'm going to guess this reflects the owners preference in music. Today I scored a Waterboys record I have been searching high and low for and I feel like I got it at a really decent price in really decent condition.
It's worth checking out if scouting out vinyl is your thing.
