| - Our dog thought it would be a great idea to eat part of a stick and scratch his throat a little. For a couple of days he wasn't able to keep food down, so we decided it was time to go in and get some x-rays taken to make sure there wasn't a blockage of any sort. We previously lived in Henderson, so we had to find a new vet in the Summerlin area. We had heard good things from a few people about this place, and the reviews looked fantastic.
All of the employees were super nice, and the place was very clean. My problem with this vet comes down to the fact that it cost less to get our dogs neuter surgery done at a different place then it cost to get a few x-rays taken here. Which to me is just insane. They quoted us for 2 x rays and said they might have to sedate our dog a little bit (which would of cost a little bit extra) if he didn't let them take x rays easily, because he is a big dog. Everything goes good, they bring him out and say he did great and they didn't have to sedate him, but they took an additional x ray. We were never quoted for this, and never asked if we wanted this extra x ray, just charged for it. I can only assume this is because they didn't get to charge us to sedate him like they quoted us for, and still wanted that money, because she was pretty certain that nothing was wrong with him when we had spoken in the room, and they didn't see anything wrong in the first 2 x rays. There was really no reason for that extra angle. Of course we paid, because we are suckers, but keep an eye out for stuff like this, because we feel taken advantage of. They also really push their dental suite information on you through the whole visit. I get it is an important part of my dogs daily routine, but that is not what I am here for right now, I just want to tell you my dogs current problem. I am glad they were there to give us care when we needed it, but we will be looking elsewhere for future care for our dogs.
