| - So I lived in Coconut grove from January 2016, until the end of September 2016, I hated EVERY single minute of it. When we first viewed the place we were told that they were renovating apartments and that they would slowly be working their way to our unit, and we would receive things such as updated appliances, new flooring and a better AC unit. NONE of those things ever happened for starters. Even when we moved in and was given a sheet that we could list all the issues with the apartment on, they refused to fix simple things such as a peep hole, oven racks, stove burners, the broken cabinet doors, gaps in between the floor and the walls, a gap between my front door and the floor, and ROACHES,......PLENTY AND PLENTY ROACHES!!!!! They told me I had to be on the list for pest control for 3 weeks straight in order for them to subside, and of course I stayed on for 6 weeks and the roaches never left. It was more the roaches apartment than it was ours. So about 3 weeks go by and they had yet to fix a single item on the list, and I wake up one morning, 5 months pregnant, with no working water to use to the toilet, to shower, or wash dishes. I proceeded to the rent office of course in hopes they could answer as to why my water was off. I was told an emergency happened and it required them to shut the water off AT MOST for the next 2 hours. Now being a reasonable person I was understanding and willing to wait because I understand emergencies and accidents do happen.....BUT 6 hours later I still waited for my water to cut back on and I ended up having to go to my brothers house just to shower!! They never apologized nor was there any notice given on how long the water would be off. So we fast forward to July, it rained.....REALLY BAD, and our whole apartment flooded up to our ankles. The only apartments they assisted during this time were the ones with carpet, if you had tile you were required to find a way to get the water out of your apartment on your own. My husband and I stayed up until 2 in the morning sweeping water out of our apartment. During the start of the summer is when the AC was turned on and of course it didn't work, and they never came to fix it no matter how many work orders or request I put it. Months go by and my ceiling ended up bursting with water, because I had a continuous leak from the AC Unit, causing parts of the ceiling to began to mold due to the negligence of not fixing the leaking roof. My 2 month old ended up getting really sick, and we gave the office a 5 day notice that required them LEGALLY to fix all hazardous issues, they refused to do so within 5 days, they decided on day 8 they would began the process, but by that time we had already filed a report with the attorney general, and began to move out, THANK THE SUPREME. I wouldn't advise anyone to even CONSIDER moving to this shit hole, this has to be the absolute worst apartment complex ever!!! I wouldn't suggest anyone with a brain to touch this apartment with a 10 foot poll!!!!!
