| - About three weeks after surgery she completed stopped eating. I figured it was the teeth somehow. Took her in, her teeth looked good, they gave her pain shot, did a full blood work up and all looked good. She ate like crazy that one day (the pain meds masked the issue) then... stopped again. Grew thinner over 8 days, I finally called them Friday at 7am in a panic, she had hid in closet and couldn't stand up. I was sobbing when they told me bring her RIGHT in.
They took her right in, and upon close examination (her teeth were still good), Dr. found underneath her THICK ruff she had a HUGE abscess! Like a tennis ball. Her temp was extremely high. Then I remembered her sister cat attacked her one night right after the surgery. OMG-I kept thinking it was the tooth surgery. They drained a ton of stuff out, rinsed the big wound, gave her a strong antibiotic shot, pain meds and sent me home with more meds.
Within a day she started eating. Within a week she was eating like normal. Within 6 weeks that huge scab fell off, now at 8 weeks she's stuffing her face and back to her normal (slightly chubby) weight.
They saved my girl! They have a client for life; Tyco's life.
