| - Received a gift certificate for a pedicure and a drink. Booking was no problem as I had anyway planned to take the day off whenever I can get an appointment and make a whole "me" day out of it. When I arrived I was in awe about the place. I really, really felt special at that moment and thought "Wow, great start to my ME day". I was greeted by a very friendly bartender who asked me what I would like to drink. I mentioned that I have an appointment and he showed me where to check in. Check in was slow, receptionist was busy answering calls and talking to someone in the store. I would have liked at least an acknowledgement of me being there. After I checked in, I was told to choose my nail polish and sit at the bar. Bar was nice, I had a cappuccino which tasted very good. 10 minutes after my appointment a pedicurist finally came to take me for my service. The pedicure area is nice, exactly as the pictures show. I thought wow, this is going to be good. So the pedicurist starts soaking my feet and I ask her about how to get a drink since my gift included one. She had to call the bartender (the same who made the coffee) and I ordered one of the best drinks I ever had. It had grapefruit in it and liquid!!! black pepper and rum or vodka. It was absolutely delicious.
The atmosphere at this spa is definitely worth a visit. I enjoyed the feeling of being in a place which pampers you. However, the pedicure was a disaster and I have written to the company about it and I have no answer received. Dropping that kind of money demands impeccable service. To me, this includes talking to your client and not just shoving your feet back and forth and twisting them so that it is convenient for you to do the manicure. Yes, I want to relax and not talk about my private business but some sort of communication like if the water is too hot or too cold, if I'm comfortable, if there is anything I would need, maybe a drink from the bar, would be very much appreciated. Because otherwise, it is like any other cheap spa you go to, nobody speaks English and therefore you have no conversation. When done, the no feet dryer did not bother me and I did not mind sitting in the waiting area and watch people come and go. It is a busy place and I had a great time people watching. However, my pedicure is another thing. It is the worst, the messiest, the most ridiculous pedicure I ever had. When I got home and wanted to show my feet, I was so embarrassed. I had to go the following week to a regular spa to get my feet done since I had not heard back from Her Majesty's Pleasure. I had hoped they are going to rectify it but nothing. Will not return!!!!!
