A friend and I tried Province this week thanks to a Local Dines coupon. It's in the Westin so we knew it wouldn't be crowed on a Wednesday night. They have a decent area outside for drinks and light bites. But it's pretty close to Central so it may be noisy if you go immediately after work.
Neither of us ordered a main course; we did a menu sampling. Here's the run down:
Croquetas - sweet potato and goat cheese balls covered with crushed pumpkin seeds. They were good.
Truffle fries - average. Not hot when delivered; looked as though they were not cooked when order but a while ago and sat under a heat lamp
Pretzel chips and goat cheese fondue - this item gets a 5 star rating. YUMMY!
Grilled veggies - not much to say
Steak tacos and shrimp tacos - average.
The "Stack" desert is just again, average. Caramel ice cream between 2 thin crispy things, similar to a cracker and baked apples underneath.
The bill for all of this, a Coke and an iced tea was almost $60; thank goodness for the coupn.
Our server was the best part of the evening. Very nice, willing to recommend items and seemed to be genuinely interested in making sure we had a nice evening. The valet attendants were also providing excellent customer service.
Based soley on the food, I won't go back.
