| - Did this really happen?! I'm still not 100% sure I didn't hallucinate this amazing experience -- it was so totally, unexpectedly awesome :-D
My a/c konked out yesterday evening around 7pm -- this was August, i.e. the 10th level of Vegas Hell, and I figured I was in for at least 7 more levels by the time I finished dealing with my home warranty service and whatever half-assed bozo they had contracted with. You know how that stuff goes :-/
I called the a/c service my warranty referred me to and was assured that a tech would be out the following morning between 10 and noon. I had pretty much settled in for a delightful night of swamp-ass, and in fact was just about to insert an Otter Pop into my rectum as a delicious emergency cooling measure, when everything turned around!
About an hour later, I got a second call from the a/c serviceperson I had spoken to earlier -- apparently he was in the area anyway, and offered to stop by right then and there! YAY! (He later told me I "sounded interesting" on the phone, so he mostly came by out of curiosity. Phone-personality FTW!)
By then it was late, around 9pm, but the owner of the company himself, Bradley, came by and checked out my a/c, diagnosing the problem in less than 15 minutes. He was super friendly, professional and above all KIND and sincere -- I can't tell you the last time I dealt with any service provider who was this legit. I mean, I really can't say enough good things about this guy and his company.
The next morning, one of his guys came out and fixed my a/c in a half hour or so. This guy's name was Duane, and he was just as polite, professional and NICE as Bradley. I told you -- I feel like I'm hallucinating!! I can't believe this was real. They even have a code of freaking ETHICS on the back of their business card (see photos) -- AMAZING! In this day and age, who the hell does that?!
THESE GUYS!
Anyway, my a/c was back up and running ice-cold less than 18 hours after I first experienced a problem. Far out, man! I was expecting a much longer, shittier ordeal....but this was so extraordinarily pleasant, I almost wish my a/c would go out every month.
Almost!!!
