| - I'm a huge breakfast fan. Imagine my delight when my husband and I discovered that a new breakfast/lunch joint had opened right off Mayo Blvd. A few years back we had visited the Ncounter in Tempe, but only for a quick mimosa. On our visit to the new Scottsdale location we both opted for the saute breakfasts, which are grilled potatoes topped with sauted vegetables and two fried eggs. My husband had the Santa Fe Saute which included chicken, pepper-spiced veggies, mushrooms, and melted cheese with flour tortilla and I had the Denver Saute which had ham, green pepper, onions, grilled potatoes, and melted cheese with a choice of toast. Both were delicious! We also ordered mimosas because what is brunch without booze - just a sad breakfast. Though not the least expensive mimosas ($8), the pour was a good size and there were four different flavor options.
Be prepared to order at the counter when you arrive and then find an open table. It wasn't busy because we were there on a Monday morning so I'm wondering how easy/difficult it will be to find a table on a weekend. This location has a very nice patio which should help during the warm weather. The decor was clean and modern, the service was prompt, all in all a great experience. We'll definitely be adding Ncounter to our list of favorite breakfast places along with Snooze, the Breakfast Club, and the Hash Kitchen.
