| - In town for the weekend, originally hoping to get Asian BBQ & Noodles in the same plaza, and didn't realize they were closed on Fridays. Luckily District One was right there!
What I ate:
- HH oysters: Honestly, not the best oysters in the world, but pretty decent for HH price.
- HH Garlic Fries: skinny fries. For some reason these came out kind of late. I was hoping to have them with the oysters. After some time they got soggy. I would pass on these fries unless this is all you plan on getting
- Oxtail Fried Rice: My friend who had been to District One before highly recommended this, and I'm so glad we ordered it. The oxtail was super tender and delicious, a great addition classic fried rice. Over easy fried egg on top just pushed it to the next level of decadence. Please order this to share with the table!
- Beef Pho: This was good. I'm not a huge fan of pho, so I can't really tell you much
- Wonton Noodle Soup: This was a good wonton noodle soup. Shrimp wontons were tasty. This would be great to warm up with if you're craving noodle soup
Pros:
- Not much of a wait on a Friday night.
- Happy hour until 7pm!
- Friendly staff
- That oxtail fried rice! seriously, so good
Cons:
- Very cold. I think we were sitting under a vent, but it was freezing cold. I get it, it's the desert, but it made my friends and I crave warm noodle soup, which is why I think we ended up ordering noodle soups
- Asian parking lot. You know how it goes - spots are tight, horrible Asian drivers, very very busy and full parking lot.
Would I come again? While food was good, I think I'd rather try something new next time I'm in Vegas.
