  • I have been to Vegas twice before and the main reason we decided to stay here is because it's centrally located on the strip; right in the middle of all the action. It's also attached to the Miracle Mile Mall, which was very convenient. The price for this resort is average for Vegas. We got a Fountains view room, which had a pretty good view of the Bellagio Fountains. Although the windows were dirty, so taking pictures from the room wasn't much good. All the rooms at PH are movie themed, which means each room had memorabilia from a specific movie. Even though I had a great view, the theme was from the worst movie ever: Super Mario Brothers. I had a big ass picture of John Leguizamo and Bob Hoskins over the tub. Also, the room could use a little touch ups; it's a little dated. This place used to be The Aladdin before switching to Planet Hollywood in 2007. The structure is the same so some of the designs are still have the old theme. The Mandra Spa still has an Arabic theme. Also, it's not advertised on the website, but there is a fitness center within the Mandra Spa that is available to guests at no extra fee. I used it and they give you a wrist band that's good for that day, so you can go and leave as you want without having to check in. Also, there is free Wi-Fi, but it's kind of a pain in the ass, because you have to keep renewing it every 24 hours. The pool area is on the 6th floor. There are three separate pools and a whirlpool. Nothing really great here. I didn't catch any of the shows offered by PH; there was Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Crazy Girls, which is a topless review. But we did see the women taking photo ops with guests (the Crazy Girls, not Britney or J-Lo). The casino is pretty good. On Saturday night, it gets really jumping. There is an area called The Pleasure Pit, in which the dealers are hot women in lingerie and there are also hot women dancing on top of the tables. Nice eye candy, but nothing eye popping. One thing I noticed about the casino area is all the hookers trolling the floor looking for the next John. They aren't too obvious but they will definitely let you know if you're looking for that. They really make their presence known late night. It gets really annoying when you're trying to hook up at the bar and you can't tell which women are legit and which are pros. The restaurants are pretty good. The standout here is Gordon Ramsey's Burgr. It's pricy and it's a long wait but the food is outstanding. There's a 24 hr place called Planet Dailies. This place has a surprisingly good menu to choose from, especially at 4 am, but be prepared for the obnoxious drunks looking to grab a bite. If you want something quick to take up to your room, there is Earl of Sandwich, also open 24hrs. Not the best, but it's quick and cheap(er). There are also places attached to the Miracle Mile Mall; Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo, Bubba Gump Shrimp, PBR Rock Bar and Grill, Pin Up Pizza are the standouts. Also, there is a 24hr Walgreens attached to the mall that you can access by walking around the front exit. This place is really convenient for everything you might need, including booze. Overall, this is a great party spot, because there are so many options and it's dead center of the strip; walking distance from other party areas.
