So I've heard this is the best ice cream in town, so of course I just had to try it. Of course ice cream is my favorite food :D. I went with the Taster's Trio so that I could taste as many ice creams as possible! I decided to go with 2 seasonal flavors, the Turtle Brownie and the Wildberry Crumble. My last flavor was the Caramel Sea Salt. I didn't realize the Turtle Brownie was a chocolate-based ice cream, but it wasn't too bad. The Wildberry Crumble tasted like a pie in my mouth :). The Caramel Sea Salt was just too salty for me. I have definitely had better sea salt carmel ice creams before (like Jenni's in Columbus!). I think I just happened to pick the wrong flavors for myself. My friends went with the Cake batter that had real bits of cake in it and the cookie dough and they were both so yummy! I will definitely switch it up by taste-testing some flavors first!
Pros:
- so many flavors to choose
- it's great how they support local businesses by purchasing many of their ingredients from around the area
- try the Taster's Trio to try as many flavors of ice cream as you can
Cons:
- I wish they didn't just stack my 3 flavors of ice cream on top of each other; I wish they were all separated out in the bowl
Why I gave it a 4...
I wholeheartedly support businesses that try to incorporate as much local produce as they can into their foods. So great job on that Mitchell's! Just wish my ice cream wasn't stacked on top of each other; it made it hard to taste each ice cream individually. Just a minor detail. And I think I just need to pick better ice cream flavors for myself next time. Never say no to a ice cream sample!
