| - We've been coming here to buy our dog food since we moved back to Toronto almost 2 years ago. Generally helpful and friendly staff, haven't really had an issue with them until now. We bought at least 10 large bags for dog food from them, and have mostly been buying food that our dog has had before. But 2 weeks ago, we decided to try a new brand, and just last weekend, our 4 year old dog got really sick. I'm going to spare you the details, but after a 24 hour emergency clinic stay where our dog had to be hooked up to an IV, the vet told us that it was likely her dietary change that triggered what happened. We called Pet Social, and the staff was super friendly, listened to our story, and told us that they would call the owner and ask if we can exchange the dog food. We have lived in Asia, the U.S., and Canada with our dog, and whenever we had an issue with the dog food, we were always able to exchange it, regardless of whether the food has been opened or not. And it's not like we were buying cheap dog food, we were buying Orijens, Fromm, and Merrick's. All other places allowed us to exchange the food if our dog didn't like it. We've been told that we can't exchange the food, which is really too bad, because now, I'd much rather drive to a different pet store with better service and policy than to continue to go there out of convenience.
