  • I normally don't like going into the bank, any bank, to take care of transactions I could do online or via the ATM. Just the way the big banks like it! Unfortunately, I have gone through what felt like hell or extreme vetting fitting for joining the CIA or some even more covert shadowy organizations, trying to authenticate myself with a brokerage for algorithmic forex trading. Took almost a whole month of pretty much me doing the "shut up and take my money" while not trying to pull my hair out or punching a few holes in the nearest wall, every time I get email updates from them telling me basically that I am not who I claimed to be, because my middle name is absent from bank and utilities accounts. Anyway, after many in branch visits (at a different location), I finally provided enough "proof" to have my account go live. Now the issue is to fund that account while incurring the least amount of transaction fees. Yep, don't want to pay $45 every time I want to wire money (personal limit is $5k, $15k max per month). Luckily, WF Personal Bankers have no such limitations (at least my bank account is not that big, yet). Plus the $45 fee is the same if the Personal Banker assists you filling out the tediously long, yet very important wire transfer information to a brokerage registered in (Geography pop quiz) Vanuatu, that is operated by a larger bank in the Czech Republic with call center in London. Anyway, I was probably at the branch for at least 40 minutes or maybe a hour. There was no wait to get to the counter when I first arrived (Friday 4pm-ish), before getting assigned to Salma Tabatabaei (Personal Banker), that listened to my situation, reached out to WF's account services regarding the missing menu option I should see when I login. Long story short, she helped me while making me feel that she was genuinely trying to help me complete the bank transaction that I wanted to perform, while getting charged the least amount of bank fees and expending the shortest amount of time in the process. Needless to say, the customer encounter experience I received today at this WF branch is top notch. Salma Tabatabaei definitely deserves recognition for her professionalism, efficient and superior customer service, while patiently working to assist me to complete this "complicated" wire transfer request. If Wells Fargo employs more employees like Salma, their rating would go way up on every measurable metric. Give her an award, a promotion and a raise! She definitely deserves it. 5 stars!!! AAA+++++
