| - Visiting from Phoenix area and I wanted something fresh, healthy, close by, and a little spicy for me and yet still okay for my husband who isn't so spicy friendly. This little place on Durango near our hotel fit our desires perfectly.
Firstly, it is clean. It is always the first thing I notice. This place is very well kept.
Secondly, you can see the kitchen so it is an open concept. Be wary of a place afraid to show you their kitchen. The smells as we walked in were wonderful and tantalizing. Made me even hungrier and I was already hungry.
Third, we were greeted by the prettiest little girl. Okay young woman, but to a 49 year old she is still a girl to me. :-) she sat us at our table and was our waitress. She answered all our questions and gave me suggestions when I asked for them. She was very helpful.
I decided on Drunken Noodles with Chicken (heat level 3 - thanks to another customer she suggested I go for a 3 instead of a 4 - so thank you Ms. customer for your suggestion - you were right!) and my husband ordered the garlic basil stir fry with chicken (heat level 2). Their heat scale is 0 - 10. Just to warn - their 3 is more of a 5 to me but I am a white girl born in Nebraska so take that to mean what you like. Just saying, maybe ask for a lower heat then if you want more heat you can always add to it at the table.
Now for the taste! My husband said it was the best stir fry he has ever had and he hands down loved it. I tasted it and he is right - it was really delicious.
I loved my Drunken noodles with chicken. The veg (green beans, red and green peppers, onions, Thai Basil) was fresh and cooked perfectly - hot all the way through with a nice crunch to it without being the least bit raw. The noodles were perfect and the chicken was sliced thin and very tender. The flavor was spot on great.
If we lived here I would make it a point to frequent this lovely little restaurant.
