| - Whole Foods Market Chagrin
Being a huge fan of Whole Foods Market, when we relocated to Ohio, we were very pleased to find that WF had multiple locations in the Cleveland area. The Chagrin market is easy to access from the high way, but unfortunately a nightmare of a parking lot. Be careful going in and watch out for the traffic on Chagrin when your leaving.
This is probably one of the smallest WF stores I have ever been to, but they do carry the basics. Also since I guess, due to the geographic area, they do not have a huge selection of fresh fruits and veggies, and the greens are kind of a hit or miss with availability.
I was just in the other day, and the majority of fruit selection were apples from the local farmers. Nice but I can only eat so many apples.
They have a small prepared hot foods area and a decent size garden green salad bar. Not really anything to bark at.
They do however offer the traditional brick oven baked pizza bar, so this to me is a good thing.
I would usually have nothing negative to say about WF's but my last visit I was advised that they were doing away with the 365 dog food brand and replacing it with Whole Paws. The clerk advised me that this was a better quality of pet food, less filler, and no byproducts.
Not to be too descriptive, this has not gone well with our dogs! I bought two 20lb. bags and have slowly introduced the new food mixed in with the old 365. If things do not get better, we will be in the market for a different brand.
We also "were" huge fans of the cold prepared foods made in house, but last time we purchased some hummus (which we usually love), we were greatly disappointed. This was such a disappointment I will be sure to mention this to the manager on our next visit, if we go back to this location.
I hope this is not a sign that WF is changing their products, ill be sure to post the outcome of our next visit.
