  • My friend let me know about a new shaved ice spot that just opened on my side of town. She even said it was every bit as good as my go that was right by ASU campus back as a student. That place might not be there any longer but I have many memories of running there between classes to enjoy a big pile of the most perfectly shaved ice w the most amazing flavors, it was like eating flavored snowflakes. There's no way any place could even come close I thought. But lucky for us West siders, this place is every bit as great. The menu is simple. Pick your flavors and and optionally add Monkey Swirl, which is sweetened condensed milk on top. To take it to another level add ice cream at the bottom of you cup. The are many flavors to choose from and the daily special when I stopped by was Horchata which I had to try. It was delicious. This is a great addition to the West Valley and to this particular part of Estrella where a nice brewery is right across the parking area. Would make for a great date night combination. I'm sure I'll be back to try all the flavors. It's absolutely worth the brain freeze.
