| - My friend and I purchased Passport to Prana, and Lotus Yoga Centre was a participating studio. The website was very informative and the yoga class had a detailed description of the class, as well as a biography about the instructor that was leading it for that morning. I have never practiced kundalini yoga before, so this was a great treat to an early morning. The pictures from the site reflected the space, it was tidy, and clean. The studio had yoga mats, blankets, and pillows for participants to use for free.
Shivalee was the instructor for my class, she was very descriptive in all the moves and it was a very smooth transition from one move to another. The class itself was an hour and a half.
The location is very accessible by the spadina streetcar and it is walkable from the spadina subway station (about a 10 minute walk).
Although I had a great time, this type of yoga is definitely not for me, but when I do purchase the passport to prana again next year, I will make sure to come back again.
