Everyone was VERY friendly and I was pretty impressed when I rolled up without an appointment. I was in from out of town and I noticed at the end of my drive in from CA that there was a noise coming from my right rear tire. I debated whether to go to Discount Tire first or start with the dealership since my truck is still under warranty. I hemmed and hawed and grappled, especially when I saw the reviews for this place but I took a chance.
They took my truck back fairly quickly and I set up to do my work in the waiting area except that i couldn't connect to the internet like they said I could, I struggled and struggled and eventually gave up.
Probably 30 minutes later they came back to get me and said they couldn't find anything wrong with the suspension or the tires but to go on a ride with the mechanic and see if it would duplicate the noise. Which of course, it didn't. The mechanic was nice but it was a bit uncomfortable just because I'm wary of my personal space but also because he was telling me how bored he was and that he was just going to go wash his car because he had nothing to do; it would be another month or so until "everyone came in to say that their A/C wasn't working right."
I stopped over at Discount Tire the next day and they told me that the right rear tire was cupping and that they would rotate it accordingly. Next time I'll stick to my instinct and go to Discount first.
