  • Used GG last week for the second time in a year and they ROCK!! Mike came in about a month before our move and gave us a quote for our move (about a block and a half from The Residence at South Park to the new Solis Sharon Square). He was very professional and gave us a quote that seemed a bit high but from our previous experience I was not at all concerned - they came in almost $500 lower than estimate when we moved to The Residence. On the day of packing we got a call from Dan Movsesian (the team lead) right on time (8:15 am) saying they were about 15 minutes out. So they arrived at 8:30 and started packing out our 1600SF, two bedroom plus den apartment. The 4 man team (Dan, Matt, Chris and sorry but forget the 4th name) split the rooms and were completely done with boxes packed, furniture wrapped and ready to load in just over 3 hours!!!! Talk about efficient - teamwork to the nth degree and no wasted time, movement or effort. They actually ran down the halls to the elevator and back if they needed something from the truck. The next morning (actual move) the call came again right on time as we had set the day before. They (Dan, Matt, Josh I and Josh II) got things set and started the move out. Again, the guys actually ran while pushing the loaded dollies and containers - safely sand totally under control but ran nonetheless (they also did at the new apartment as well.) What I so they were loaded and the truck closed up in a bit over 2 hours. Mind you there was a fairly long "run" from the apartment to the elevator. At the new place they started the offload at about 11:00. Again the picture of efficient and not a wasted move between them. Two and a half hours later the furniture was in the apartment, set up and located exactly where we decided to put it. In fact we made some changes in location as they brought more in and they moved some pieces a couple of times without a word. Boxes were in and stacked for efficient unpacking. Not a scratch on anything and so far not one bit of damage to anything!!! And oh yeah, most important - they beat the estimate again by almost $500!!! There is NO OTHER moving company in Charlotte that I would even consider.
