I don't know anything about barbecue. The only other barbecue restaurant I've been to is Slows in Detroit, probably ten years ago. I had a friend in town, so we visited Mabel's because it's the cool new thing to do.
The service we received sitting at the bar was incredible. It's not everyday that you come into contact with someone who is a complete master at his or her profession. The food was fine, but the experience was A+.
I recommend the pig tails!
