Briardale is great for new or senior golfers. The course offers short, and very open par 4s and par 5s. The par 3s are a bit short, but a couple 165+ yards keep a challenge in sticking the green.
The course is flat, lacking any real elevation change. Most fairways are lined with older, broad trunk trees. The big trees provide a nice sense of age and tradition for the course.
My usual golf league has been on much more challenging courses, so Briardale was a welcome relief for me. I found myself putting for birdie on several par 4s which is rare for me. Yet, for a seasoned and selective golfer, you may be underwhelmed at the course's straight-forward ness. The only real challenge I saw were some fairway-side bunkers set about 250 Yds +/- to snag drives.
It is worth noting that the clubhouse is recently remodeled and quite nice. Staff were friendly and course was not overcrowded on the Sunday evening I was there.
