  • As an avid tea collector....I'm happy a teaopia has finally opened a downtown location, but I'm not impressed by this chain. Their tea is the pricer one compared to Tealish and David's Tea. I've tried a few of their teas and they all have the amazing smell, but the taste...not so much. HOWEVER, I do recommend "Monk's Blend". (: If you want real tasting tea, run west on Queen and go to TEALISH! EDIT: I went in over the boxing day week and they had a good deal on their holiday tins. I couldn't resist and bought a white tea holiday tin to taste. The teas all have the same distinctive smell. I owe 4 different types of tea from here and they smell almost alike. The taste, nothing special. And plus, I'm not a fan of the bags they use to store the tea in. A few months have past, and the Monk's Blend tea actually lost its smell. Very disappointed. I don't think I'll come back...unless there's a sale.
