  • Best sushi in Madison. Love the atmosphere and ambiance in this upscale urban environment...you can walk right by if you don't know where to look for the door! Dinner Thursday - Saturday, be prepared for 1+ hour wait and their bar is modest size, but they will take your number and call you when your table is ready...allowing you to shop Hilldale while you wait (especially the new Lululemon store!) We've always had great service and love the lively energy. Sitting at the sushi bar is fun for two, but not really conducive to visiting with more than a group of 3. The food...I haven't had anything I didn't like! I love their tempura appetizer with asparagus and their Godzilla roll (for a non-traditional roll), their miso soup and poke salad are also great lighter fare. When I've taken a group of people and someone doesn't like sushi, their non-sushi options are also great...the hanger steak is delish!
